Ben 10 Alien Force: FanFiction
Episode Four

Scene: Julie is at school with her friends. She is waiting at the front entrance for Ben. Her friends are: Alana, Lori and Sarah.

Lori: You've got to be joking... He got himself shot for you!?
Julie: {nods} He saved my life.
Sarah: I'm surprised the bullet didn't kill him, even if it was in the shoulder. He must have really tough skin.
Julie: {coughs} Hmm... {coughs} Yeah, I, uh, guess he does.
Lori: Well, the bullet wound will leave one hell of a scar I bet.
Alana: Scars are cool. I wonder what it'll look like.
Julie: It's only been three days you know. Just because they took the cast off and he can come back to school doesn't mean he's going to let you see it. It's probably wrapped in gauze.
Alana: (dreamily) It's so romantic!
Lori: I know! A bullet for you Julie! You so have to date him!
Julie: (quietly) If he ever gets around to asking me...
Sarah: (suddenly) Why does he have to ask? Why don't you ask him?
Julie: {blushing} I-I guess I could.
Lori: Whoa! Who is that!
{Julie, Sarah and Alana follow Lori's gaze to the green and black car parking in the handicapped spot in the student parking lot. Kevin steps out of the car and makes his way around the car to the passengers side to help Ben out, then throws Ben's backpack over his shoulder as the two of them make their way to the school. Julie runs over to Ben with her friends at her heels}
Julie: Ben! Hi! How are you feeling?
Ben: Weird. I'm a bit groggy from all the medicine they have me on. Pain-killers, antibiotics and such... Personally, I'd prefer to just let my body heal itself.
Julie: Ben, I don't think I'll ever be able to thank you enough.
{Lori randomly steps forward and hugs Ben around the waist carefully}
Lori: (whispers) Thank you for saving her, Ben.
Ben: No problem...
{Sarah and Alana each hug him as well}
Kevin: Well, now that our little love fest is over, can we go in?
Lori: Who are you anyway?
Kevin: {shrugs} I guess I just follow Ben around and help him all day.
Lori: Oh. well, that's great and all, but do you have a name?
Ben: His names Kevin. Don't mind him, he's just mad because his girlfriend has been avoiding him for three days.
Kevin: (angry) She's not my girlfriend.
Ben: (amused) Which makes it all the more annoying to you that she's avoiding you.
Kevin: If you weren't crippled Tennison, so help me--
Julie: {interrupts} All right Ben, let's get you inside.

Scene:   Later that day. Ben, Kevin, Julie, Alana, Sarah and Lori are all eating lunch together in the Cafeteria.

Kevin: So this is 'school food'?
Ben: Yep. Spaghetti and meatballs to be specific.
Kevin: {eats a bite} Huh. Weird.
Ben: So how was you first day of school, Kevin?
Lori: What do you mean, 'first day of school'?
Kevin: {eats another bite} I dropped out of Middle School because of... um... complications. Never been to High School. Oddly enough, I caught right on to the things they were telling us about today.
Sarah: How long are you going to be Ben's shadow?
Kevin: {sips some milk} Doctor's say a week.
Ben: He didn't want to be my shadow at first, so I was going to ask Gwen, but then he was all, 'Okay, fine, I'll do it!'. It was hilarious.
Lori: Wait, Gwen Tennison is your girlfriend?
Kevin: (annoyed) She's not my girlfriend.
Ben: {sips some milk} Right, at this point.. she's not even your friend.
Kevin: Tennison, by the time you get all healed up, I'm gonna have you back in the Hospital again.
Julie: (worried) Ben, stop aggravating him.
Ben: (amused) All right, I'll stop, but he won't lay a hand on me, so don't worry. He would do anything to upset--
Kevin: Gwen.
Ben: {looks over at where Kevin is staring} Oh.
{Gwen notices Kevin and ducks out of the lunch room}
Kevin: I'll be right back. {runs after Gwen}
Alana: They make a cute couple...
Ben: {shrugs} It's a self-denial love relationship.
{Out in the hall, Kevin is chasing Gwen. She hasn't noticed him yet. She goes into the library, way into the back, by the reference books}
Kevin: {gets close enough to grab Gwen's wrist} Gwen!
Gwen: Kevin! {struggles} Let go!
Kevin: You are avoiding me!
Gwen: {struggles more} No... I'm not... just, let go!
Kevin: {still holding on to her wrist} No! Stop struggling and talk to me.
Gwen: {stops} (quietly) I just, don't want to talk.
Kevin: That's not good enough for me. I'm sick of being ignored without reason.
Gwen: Kevin... I'm really sorry about this... {blasts him off her} {runs}
Kevin: {getting up slowly} {looks around} Damnit.

Scene: That evening. Kevin is at Gwen's house. Gwen's mother has just told him that Gwen doesn't want to see anyone. Kevin has his own ideas though, and goes around the back of the house, then climbs up the Terrace in the back and finds Gwen on the roof.

Kevin: This just goes to show how predictable you are.
Gwen: {jumps up startled} (angrily) Jeez, Kevin! What is wrong with you?! Can't you leave me alone?
Kevin: (angrily) You know what, Gwen Tennison!? I am not the kind of guy who goes chasing after anything... ever... So could you stop acting like the f***ing world revolves around you - for 12 second - and talk to the guy who's been chasing you around for four f***ing days now? And while you're at it... Can you explain to this guy why the hell he's going to such lengths to make sure you're okay? Because, let me tell you, I do not understand any of it!! {sits on the roof angrily}
Gwen: (surprised) Kevin...
Kevin: (still angry) {looks away from her} I may not understand why... but I care about you Gwen, and I will never hate anything more than I hate being ignored by you...
Gwen: ... I'm sorry, Kevin... {sits next to him} (smiling) You know... these last few days, I've been avoiding you and Ben... I've been avoiding the world... All because, I was worried that I would make another stupid decision that would hurt you guys... And now - Now I've hurt you anyway, in a different - but possibly worse - way. So, I'm sorry.
Kevin: (still fuming) You should be. {sighs} But... I forgive you.
Gwen: Thank you, Kevin. And, about you feelings...
Kevin: {eyes her curiously}
Gwen: ... you're going to have to figure that out on your own...
Kevin: {lays back} (scoffs) Lotta help you are.
Gwen: {kisses him on the cheek} You'll get it. {leaves}
Kevin: {stands up} {talking to himself} Why is it I get kissed every time I'm up on this roof? {taps the roof with his foot} Jeez.
